CEO Corner

First, thank you for your phone calls over the past couple of days, offering support and checking in to make sure that iwi members were okay.  It definitely has been a ‘shaky’ time and there will no doubt be plenty more still to happen and to talk through.

We closed the office for a couple of days until it was inspected and passed for use, so now the team are busy checking to make sure that everything is working and safe to use, before getting on with what will be a busy end of year.

Thank you to our Kaumātua who have responded over the last couple of days confirming their bank account details for our Christmas Manaaki. If you have not heard from us and you are 65 years and over and registered, please contact us to check that we have your correct current details, you can contact us at

Iwi Roadshows 2017

We have begun the final planning for next year’s Iwi Roadshows, scheduled for February and March of 2017 and will send details out in the New Year. The roadshows are an important part of our communication with members, as our current Strategic Plan moves into its final year.

We want you to have input into the creation of the next five-year strategy for Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō.

Education Grants & Scholarships

Applications for the Marlborough Lines Tertiary Scholarships for Māori are now open, as well as the annual Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Education Grants. Please go to our website for more information. The grants can provide much needed financial support for those currently in, or contemplating, study.

We urge you to read the information carefully, complete an application and file it before the deadline.

Our December Pānui will be the last of the year, the office will close at midday on Thursday 22 December 2017.

We will resume in January 2017 as there is already a lot planned for 2017 and we want to make sure you are fully informed.
