Wānanga

Culture and Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tōtanga underpin all that we do, whether it's initiatives for whānau, working with partners, or engaging with the wider community.

The iwi's Cultural Strategy combines both internal programmes focused on cultural revitalisation as well as external kaupapa which we support with participation and sponsorship.

As well as providing resources for whānau to learn more about Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tōtanga, wānanga play an important part in our cultural regeneration. Cultural revitalisation does not just happen - we have to create the right type of environment for our whānau to rediscover themselves - and wānanga are the prime environment to do this.

Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō hold a number of wānanga throughout the year. Some of these are iwi wānanga, which are open to all ages. Others are exclusively for rangatahi.

All registered members will be notified via email and pānui about upcoming wānanga, so be sure to keep your contact details up to date.
