The Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō Trusts, comprising the Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō Trust and the Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō Charitable Trust, are governed by six elected Trustees, with three representatives from Tarakaipa and three from Pūaha te Rangi.

Our Trustees work together to provide strategic leadership and governance for the benefit of our iwi, helping to protect and enhance our people, culture, resources and future generations. Guided by the principle of kotahitanga, Trustees play an important role in shaping the long-term direction and wellbeing of Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō.

This year, nominations are open for one Pūaha te Rangi Trustee position.

To be eligible for nomination, candidates must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Whakapapa to Pūaha te Rangi
  • Be a registered member of Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō

We encourage whānau with skills, experience and a passion for serving our iwi to consider standing for election. Experience in governance, finance, policy, strategic planning or leadership is desirable, but most importantly we are seeking individuals who are committed to the aspirations and future of Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō.

While only registered members of Pūaha te Rangi may stand for this position, all registered members of Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō are eligible to vote in the Trustee election.
