Education Profile: Alexandra Taylor

Iwi member Alexandra Taylor is one of 23 members awarded an Education Grant for the 2021 academic year.

 

Kia ora koutou,

My name is Alexandra Taylor, and I am a 20-year-old student born and bred in Christchurch. I am currently in my third year at the University of Canterbury where I am studying toward Law and Commerce degrees, majoring in international business and minoring in sports nutrition. Once I graduate, I would like to have a career in either company law or with a sports agency.

I spend my spare time playing a variety of sports including running, skiing, touch, rugby and competing in triathlons. I hope to complete my first half-ironman in December this year. Alongside my sports, I also coach high school-grade netball in winter.

I would like to thank Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō for their financial support and I look forward to being able to give back to the iwi in the future.
