Kairuruku Ahurea (Cultural Coordinator) for Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō

The Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō Trusts are looking for a Kairuruku Ahurea (Cultural Coordinator) to join our team in either the Wairau or Whakatū.

 

He tūranga hou tēnei hei tautoko i te Pou Ahurea kia whakatinana i te Rautaki Ahurea e ai ki te Kohinga Rautaki Ahurea-ā-Tau. Kia tutuki i ngā tumanako, me ngā whakaarotau ahurea o Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō.

 

This newly created role could be your opportunity to provide meaningful support for your iwi. This newly established role works together with the Pou Ahurea to implement the Trusts Cultural Strategy and deliver on the cultural aspirations of Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō.

 

The main responsibilities are:

• Creating positive relations with Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō whānau and fellow staff
• Helping to strengthen te reo Māori capacity internally within the Trusts and with the wider iwi
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of events and wānanga
• Providing support to other portfolios within the Trusts
